Check SFDA registration requirement for your product category
Apply for SFDA product registration (allow 4–16 weeks)
Obtain SABER Certificate of Conformity from accredited CAB
Secure Halal certificate from Saudi-recognized body (if required)
Review and update Arabic labeling to meet SFDA specifications
Phase 2 — First Shipment
Logistics & Clearance
Select freight mode: air, sea (FCL or LCL), or road
Prepare complete shipping documentation
Obtain SFDA import permit for each food/pharma shipment
File customs declaration on ZATCA FASAH platform
Arrange bonded or ambient warehousing in Riyadh/Jeddah
Complete port clearance and deliver to warehouse
Phase 3 — Route to Market
Distribution & Sales
Register as a vendor with target retail chains
Submit product files and compliance certificates
Agree on shelf placement, pricing, and promotional terms
Book delivery appointments via retailer portal
Execute Direct Store Delivery (DSD) with full POD
Monitor stock levels and plan replenishment cycles
